So if you can offer a fresh farm to table product for a reasonable cost, you’ll likely get a good return! Not only is it super easy to preserve herbs, but herbs are pretty expensive at the store. Dried herbs and spicesĭried herbs are one of my favorite ways to preserve food from the garden! In fact, I basically have herbs hanging in the pantry year round. Microgreens are great because the turnaround time is so short, the startup costs are relatively low, and the profit margins are pretty substancial! 4. Now, for me this does two things – it gives me extra seedlings in case I need them in my own garden, and it allows me to sell off the ones I don’t use! And since I’m already taking care of the other ones, it’s really not extra work. So it’s not too much extra work to simply start a few extra seedlings.
